  • Pinnacles, hoodoos, very scenic mountain drive and great hiking. What more can you ask for? A bit out of the way but worth the drive.

  • Ranger led walk to Faraway Ranch in the snow was beautiful. We learned so much about trees, animals and history. Saw several birds, including wild turkeys.

  • Beautiful hidden gem! Campground is beautiful and with lots of shade, which is a true blessing in the heat of the summer, which is when we went. If you can go on cooler months, I recommend that, since there are no electrical hookups to turn on the AC (as is typical of most national parks). Great little visitor center. The place has some spectacular sights and formations. Hiking trails are very well marked. Loved this park!
  • This is an absolutely spectacular park in South Eastern Arizona with an unexpected landscape unlike anything I've seen before. The visitor center has information on the park history and area wildlife as well as detailed hiking guides from easy to strenuous. We took the popular Echo Canyon Loop that gives a great overview of various geologic and environmental points of interest in the park, but there are definitely longer options if you are in the mood to take it to another level. This park also has amazing dark skies being close the three hours from Phoenix so consider camping out to see some spectacular stars. Visitor center has flushing toilets and many of the trailheads have pit toilets, but no running water so make sure you are prepared!
  • It's our first time here. Visitor center is just amazing. We really enjoyed our trail so much. Sadly that the campsite was full but that's ok. Highly recommend to come around Feb. I see some snow and cool breeze. Toilet is clean and well maintain . Plenty of parking space.
  • First time here. Stunning views. The hikes were great. Did not do them all but the 2 we did were worth it. Camped at the bonita campground. Well kept campground and very shady. The faraway ranch was a neat blast from the past. The museum was not open but could walk the ranch grounds. The visitor center had a nice shop and a small museum of the area. Also went to fort Bowie about 20 miles north. Also super cool.
  • In March 2022 it was too windy to hike. In December 2022 it had just snowed and couldn't do any of the hikes. But the scenery is beautiful, the visitor center is small and cute, but so expensive. There are lots of bathrooms and trash bins throughout the park. A beautiful place to go alone or bring kids.
