  • Good park for walking or riding your bike. Not a lot of extras, but sometimes it's nice not to have all the crowds.

  • Has a 1.3 mile walking path around the perimeter, numerous intermediate trails and paths in the middle to break it up any way you want. Also part of a larger 15 mile path through Wilmington. Numerous play structures for the little ones, rentable picnic area, events center, nature preserve, lots of wildlife and plant life! Even though it is just blocks from a mall, and surrounded by apartments, it is still, almost magically, like walking through the forest... peaceful and beautiful!!
  • A wonderful park with pines, water, pavilions, and a paved 1.3 mile jogging path. There are also trails through the woods and a large visitor center with educational experiences. Lots of parking spots make for a great spot to go for a walk or short run from anywhere in Wilmington. As a bonus there are native carnivorous plants at various spots around the park.
  • Great little park to walk around. It has a 1.3 mile asphalt track around the perimeter of the park. Has a water stand for the dogs to drink water from. Also has interior dirt paths to hike if you want try those.
  • Nice little playground and a trail that leads to a little overlook of a pond. There's a few turtles and snakes and frogs to see in the event building as well.
  • Nice and very clean park. My grandsons enjoy playing at this park. But on Sat 3-4-2023, we decided to go into.the museum. The lady in there was not very nice. I was pointing out the turtle's and my hand was no where near either turtle. My hand was about the same level as the top of the box and she came out and told me not to put my hand inside the box. It wasn't in the box and no where near the turtle. She was very rude and how are you suppose to teach your grandsons about nature if you can't point out the turtles
