The gift shop has beautiful items, the exhibits were very interesting and they even have a free tour day for Seniors. We have walked on the gorgeous trails many times. Very peaceful place.

Absolutely gorgeous! Peaceful and serene garden walks of varying kinds. The old Civil War Era home was near to see, as were all of the miniature houses that the original owners loved as a hobby. Pop up stores inside the grounds with snacks and gifts, as well a a main gift shop within the museum. Walking trails around the museum and a Boulder playground at the top of the property. We went for the Origami in the Garden exhibit which runs into the fall. A must see! All of this close to downtown Winchester and Hospital.

A beautiful and valuable gem in Winchester. The MSV does an outstanding job at providing the community with art and a healthy place to share with friends and family. Art shows change constantly and there's also permanent displays that talk about the rich history of our area. The grounds are beautiful, especially with the new walking trail that we are so fortunate to have. Throughout it, you can find different art installations as well, while you walk, run, or bike, even with your dog(s)! The gardens are amazing to see, and they open in April for to spring/summer. The museum also offers many classes for children and adults. Highly recommend!

Loved it! The grounds are beautiful! Went for the origami exhibit (very pleased with it). Check out the bamboo forest! Toured the house which has a very interesting history. Walked up to the museum and thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits. Highly recommend stopping by and checking this gem out. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

Loved it! The gardens are beautiful, reminds me of Hillwood (DC) gardens, more English/French garden style, and like a very small botanic garden. The tulips and narcissus were in bloom mid-April. I expect the roses will be in bloom in the summer. The museum is nice too, well designed and laid out. It has basically 4 exhibits on one floor, so it is small, but worth visiting. Really like the miniatures and if you’re a fan of Andrew Wyeth, one of his students has a whole exhibit and the influence is obvious. Very nice. It would be a great place to take out of town guests and I expect I’ll be visiting each year. It’s the nicest museum I’ve seen in this far western VA/MD/Panhandle WV area. Mostly because it’s new, so much stuff out here is so old. There is a discount if tickets are purchased online, veterans free, and free Wednesdays. Also have a makerspace for kids and adults for a fee. Trails (not the gardens) are free.

This is a beautiful place to visit right here in the Shenandoah Valley! The kids had so much fun doing the scavenger hunt that was provided! There are many things to see and experience so make sure you take your time or there may be things you miss! The only thing that was kinda hard was taking a stroller. I would recommend taking a smaller stroller or taking a baby carrier! It was a pleasant family outing 😊
