  • My family has been coming to Salem for years. We have experienced the village and museums when it is closed and open. Both are delightful, pleasant ways to visit. The Moravian Village is a favorite. We go every time we visit Winston-Salem. Allow 4-6 hours to experience the Village when venues are open. Ticket purchase is required to enter several historical buildings. Parking is available at the Visitors Center. Students including college (with ID) get discount.
  • We absolutely loved our short stay at the Old Salem Museum and Gardens. The town is full of historical buildings (1700’s and 1800’s) and beautiful gardens. The museum staff is very nice. They told us to park the RV in the back parking lot, which is spacious and quiet. There’s a farmer’s market with a bunch of fresh produce and crafts on Sundays. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you all! Cesar, Dina and Umma the dog #BeeHippy_Lifestyle #HarvestHost
  • This a riveting experience. An absolute treasure and brings to life what people are capable of. The museum and docents take you back to the 1750s and take you through the day to day life of folks who were determined to establish a theocracy and lived as such for decades. Considered a model community and the only 1 left of 5 in the surrounding area. I loved the experience. Check the website to see what individual exhibits are open because they are so worthwhile experiencing and the docents are amazing knowledgeable, no question is off the table.
  • There was a nice visitor center with a footbridge to visit the museum and village. We parked at the visitor center and spent several hours there. I would recommend an all-access pass. A few of the buildings were closed though.
  • Beautiful historic town. Small enough you can see most of it in a day, but interesting enough to spend 2 days. It's a great place to disconnect from our electronic lives
