In northern New England, visit Sugarbush Farm for an opportunity to learn about the production of local favorites like maple syrup and waxed cheeses. You can visit the sugarhouse where maple syrup is produced in the spring, or find your way to the cheese workroom where cheese is waxed and wrapped after production. You'll have the opportunity to sample as many as 14 different cheeses made on site and try four different grades of maple syrup. Take a walk along a nature trail through the woods of sugar maples to learn about how the trees are tapped. The farm also has a small chapel hidden among the trees, which you can visit as well. We visited Sugarbush farms in January 2023 and the landscape was fantastic. The cheeses and maple syrups that you can try for free were even better!

Fun experience, though the drive there was long and a bit bumpy and icy, lots of back roads. Beautiful views and delicious samples.

Such a lovely place. We loved the trail they have. It’s very informational and you see so many beautiful maple trees and even a small white chapel. The tasting room was great. Loved reading and learning about the process of sugar making. Also, everything is dog friendly aside from the tasting room. :) our dogs enjoyed it. Lots of great views as well since you’re surrounded by nature.

The Best place to Go to for Fresh Cheese & Maple Syrup. Everyone is so friendly. You are able to sample the cheese & the syrup. A place that makes you feel at home. We try to make it a goal to go every year, especially during Fall time. The scenery is Beautiful & even more beautiful when the leaves are changing colors. The animals look well taken care of & are also friendly. Self tour is available.

Family run farm making and selling make syrup and various cheeses. Immediately upon entering you are given the opportunity to taste a few cheeses and different maple syrups. All items are available in the surface gift shop along with numerous other food and gift items. You can also take a walk along the maple trees and read about the process for making the syrup from the tapping of the trees to the final product. Everyone friendly and the syrup and the cheese were delicious. A bit of trek to get to but worth it!

You just can't visit Vermont without finding an amazing maple syrup place to tour, right? You can find that here, at Sugarbush Farm! They did a really decent job of keeping most of it interesting and raw, like an actual working farm. There is a tour area where you can walk through the maples and see how they collect the sap/syrup. This includes a great lesson on how they make stuff and trivia questions to help you learn. Then follow the tree pipes to the place they actually make the syrup in the old style of wood-fired cooking. Once you're done there, stop by the shop and take a look around at all the knick-knacks, syrups and syrup and cheese tastings, grab some Monkey Bread, or buy some of the amazing cheese! The prices are a little higher than market average, but hey, you're helping to support local business and getting some amazing stuff out of it! And make sure to snap a few pictures of family along the way. Very knowledgeable folks there who know their business and are very helpful! One of the best places to visit, for this sort of thing, in Vermont!

Nothing but 5 stars for Sugarbush Farm! We visited during Fall of 2022. Beautiful drive up and around the mountain to their farm. Go inside and get a free tasting of syrups and cheeses. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It’s obvious they love what they do! No complaints about anything we tried. All delicious! We went wild in the shop buying lots of little souvenirs and cheeses to bring home for family to try. Outside grounds are pet friendly.
