Wrightsville Beach Municipal Complex
A long stretch of clean, soft sand, sits in a small town just east of Wilmington. You can explore the waters lapping this golden beach by kayak or paddle board, or watch the sun setting over the ocean during an evening harbor cruise. The beach hosts a variety of family-friendly activities including treasure hunts, swimming and surfing lessons, and eco tours designed to introduce you to North Carolina's rich marine life. You can also visit a small history museum here, housed inside a restored beach cottage originally built in 1907. Once the sun goes down, explore the many beachfront restaurants and taverns, serving signature cocktails and local seafood specialties. A visit to Wrightsville Beach Municipal Complex represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Wrightsville Beach trip maker site to plot your vacation.

Went to the Farmer's Market today - it was great! They had a little bit of everything! Artwork, jewelry, coffee, flowers, pastries, tasty cocktail mixers, honey, Waygu Beef (yummy), and more! Dog-friendly (several vendors had water dishes), just be sure to remember poop bags!

The playground is handicap accessible, lots to do , and fun. The Harbor way Garden was beautiful and we saw lots of butterflies. Great experience!

The Good: Wrightsville Beach is best enjoyed early or late. It is very popular and during the main season, ~May through September, the traffic going to & from the beach can be frustrating. You may have trouble finding a parking space at the peak times. W.B. does a good job of keeping the beach clean and 'groomed'. Some (not all) parking areas have bathrooms. There is a list of things you may not do or bring onto the beach. Glass, for instance is not allowed, which is a good thing. Dogs are only allowed on the beach in the 'off' season, ~ 4 cold months. The Negative: Parking is charged for 8 months of the year, and from as early as 9am to late (varies), 7 or 8 pm. It is expensive and the cost goes up almost every year. You will be ticketed if you think you can skip the last ten or so minutes before your meter runs out.

This park is planted in the middle of a larger greenspace. Newer structures and components for kids of all ages, clean and well-maintained. Picnic tables and benches surround it. No wonder it can get a little crowded on nice days. It can be a little windy and cool due to its near-beach location, so bring layers. Have fun!

I mean this place was beautiful. I came down here with my girlfriend from upstate New York. Today was beautiful out 80 degrees and partly sunny. We found easy parking on the street that you had to pay for in a meter. Luckily I acquired a bunch of quarters on the way down from New York. But we were able to find easy access to the beach and walk up and down the beach for a couple hours collecting seashells. A great time a great area definitely recommend this place to other people
