Wander the botanical gardens at The Secret Garden and view many kinds of wildlife in the reptile park. Lizards, turtles, and snakes like the indigenous boa await, but you will also see birds, foxes, and more. Keep an eye out for coconut crabs--the largest living anthropod in the world--and learn how to properly handle one. Old houses and plaques dot the park and teach visitors about Vanuatu's history. You can also take a dip in the swimming pool on hot days and check out the barbecue areas and restaurant. • Our bungalow was so amazing and beautiful. They were on top of stuff when we brought up anything (fresh towels, hot water, etc). The place really feels exclusive and like you're in your own world...

  • 1500vt each was a fair price. We were directed to the track and told where we'd come out and told to take as much time as we liked. We enjoyed the wondering and reading of different story's and history. It is very rustic. We discovered another couple 1/2 way around who had a guide with them which we were not offered. They paid the same price as we did. The gift shop had about a dozen items in it.
  • One of the major tourist attractions in Port Villa , Vanuatu. It is said that the name Secret Gardens is kept behind a reason. All the secret and precious things of Vanuatu Government is kept inside the Garden. This place is the a must visit if you go to Vanuatu. The traditional shows is the trademark along with the delicious food at different restaurants. This place the all in one combination for a visitor to spend a day.
  • Amazing place. A lot of information on display to explore, the bungalows are beautiful and the staff incredibly friendly. The owners are very helpful, we even got a lift to the airport for the early flight!
  • We were here for one of their island feast nights, which included a talk about Vanuatu culture, a kastom dance and magic show, a demonstration about the local dishes, kava tasting, and a feast which was served in their dining room. We arrived before sunset so we could walk around the grounds and read the displays set up describing Vanuatu history and legends. We then headed upstairs to the treehouse lounge to enjoy some drinks before the show. We loved the entire experience: the displays (which our friends said was better than the museum in Port Vila), a really good dance and cultural show, and a pretty amazing array of tasty dishes served at the feast. We also loved the old-style Polynesian look of this place. Their show may be less flashy than some of the bigger resort shows (you won't see any fire dancing here), but we thought it was wonderful!
  • Stonger not recommended, garden is mess, money only, high google ratings just to trap you in. At 16/07/2019 afternoon near 5pm, we were driving through from its front door, my memory told me this restaurant have good rating for its name on google, so I stopped my car and walked in to see this restaurant environment and thinking a dinner here. But the restaurant dark and looks terrible and nobody, no stop sign, no opening time guides. A local men working behind the restaurant, so we walked through the restaurant to ask, he is a staff, told me not tonight, we can come back tomorrow morning. My youngest daughter want me to ask where is the treehouse that a sign showed on restaurant front. He told me the restaurant is the treehouse, here is the secret garden. We looked around what is this, so mess, we got a lot Mos bites same time, so we said thanks and go back through outside of restaurant other than inside under we knew now not a opening time. Suddenly a local woman from a small house walked out and stopped us, " did you paid to enter garden" I saw have few people inside that house. "what? Why I need to pay" I said, "1500vt each, except kids. Every vistor into garden must pay, you should ask front staff" " but your restaurant closed, no staff ar front to tell me, also I didn't see any sign said 1500vt for enter. " I said. " you knew restaurant closed, you shouldn't walk in without permission". Under we are visitors sited on a strange place, for Safely reason, I paid 3000vt to stop the argument. The man, the staff we ask him questions before just walk through us, I said "why you didn't tell us these", he smiles and said " yes every vistor into garden must pay" and then walk away. I shocked, upset and quickly brought my family escaped from this restaurant. On these few days tour in Vanuatu, Port vila. I found this is not a single case for me. A lot of place charge you out of your imagination. Be carefully for self guided tourist.
