Hoi An Eco Green Tour, Hoi An

Good experience. I would have given 5 stars were it not the tipping request. Remember to take some small bills, more on this later. Tour started at our hotel and we each rode behind someone on motorcycle. Stopped by a field with buffalo where we “rode” it for photos. Then went to fishing village where we toured the bay and then went into a small rounded boat to fish for small crabs among the mangroves. Delicious lunch served by the owners wife then back to hotel. The owner Manh and guide Hoa were both very helpful, and Manh’s wife is very good cook, lunch is very good. However the guide will ask you to tip buffalo farmer and small boat guy. This is the reason why I give 4 instead of 5 stars. I think they should tip them using part of the final gratuity. If we didn’t have small bills it would have been annoying.

I want to start off by saying that this tour was a great experience, the boat ride was very nice, and hospitality was great; however, the problem was that at the end of it, when we were getting ready to leave, the family that owns the tour consistently asked us to give them a rating, to the point where their hospitality no longer seemed genuine. A middle -aged-married man (part of the family) also asked my sister to follow them on Facebook, but he also asked her to follow him on his personal account which I think is very weird. I’m not saying you shouldn’t go on the tour, it is a great experience, just keep a heads up!

I joined this tour with my mum. We were on a boat and then moved on to a coconut shell boat. We did some fishing experience as well with passing by fishermen as well. It seemed to be a very popular tour as you can meet many tourists on the river doing the same thing as you do. It was fun overall.

Great family run tour. Rode to their house . Sat on the buffalo and then ploughed the rice fields. Set of to the fishing village to do netting and crabbing for 2 hours. Went back to their home and made rice pancakes and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Definitely a must if you want to do a few things in one day.

Great tour, totally recommended! We did the coconut basket and it was an amazing experience to understand local habits and how they live. We ride buffalo, biked through rice fields, took a boat ride and tried local food, all with a great tour guide that explained us everything
