  • We booked a snorkeling tour in July of 2019 with Sea Trek Vietnam  for three people after reading mostly  good reviews. After booking the tour we received an email trying to sell us the under water walking tour. We declined after looking into it and  stated we were only interested in snorkeling. The morning started off good with the driver showing up on time. When we arrived at the harbour we waited around 30 minutes for others to show up and were told there will only be 15 people on the tour. They put 18 of us on a nice speed boat and raced us to a larger wooden boat at Cham Island where we joined approximately another 25 people. As soon as we arrived we were told  to go ahead and snorkel for 90 minutes  while they instructed everyone on the under  water walking tour. We were the only three not part of the walking tour. We asked where the best coral is and one of the tour guides named Jim answered "under water" This was basically the extent of the tour. We swam  up to 300 meters distance from the boat. Most of the coral in the area is either dead or dying with very little fish in the area in very murky water littered with beer cans. I later talked to others who were part of the  walking tour and they were not impressed with what they saw and having only about 10 mins of under water walking time. After 90 mins of snorkeling we were  taken for a decent lunch at another beach which was overcrowded with boats that came up to the the beach at full speed. After lunch we lounged around the beach for over 2 hours with an option for swimming. Due to the reckless way the boat operators approached the beach you had to watch your back. During this time all guides in the area got together and played cards amongst themselves. We were never offered towels as the tour indicates and the only bottle of water was one which had been sitting in the sun. I have been on snorkeling tours in various different countries throughout the world and this one was the most disappointing tour I have ever been on. They should not be selling it as a snorkeling tour. How they have so many positive reviews is beyond my comprehension
  • Jim is such a wonderful and nice tour guide and his English is exceptionally good. I fully enjoyed the snorkeling, swimming, and lunch in beautiful Cam island. I think he should get a promotion! Thanks to all his crew I had a lovely time in the sea
  • Prompt pickup and drop off from hotel however speedboat crams 30+ people on board with very little leg room. Speed boat drops off to larger wooden boat where you can snorkel or sea walk 90mins. There are very few fish and very little reef left at this site. There is litter in the water everywhere and other tourists stand up on what little reef there is left - very minimal instruction from tour staff about avoiding doing this etc. After snorkelling you are dropped at another island location where plenty of lunch is served then you have 2hours to swim - avoiding the other speedboats dropping people off. You can sit in beach chairs or hammocks in this time also. Overall the tour seems over booked and the guides are not very informative. The boats have far too many people packed on them. Would not bother with Cham Islands tour - spend money on another land based tour.
  • One of the unforgettable moments in our Hoi An trip. We tried the hoi an snorkeling tour in seatrek 2 days ago. We were so nervous about walking undersea but our tour guides made us feel safe. Many beautiful corals, fish while walking undersea. Highly recommend you guys for this tour!!
  • Not recommend Cham Islands Tour. Booked higher one (63 USD) with sea trekking (i.e., underwater walking). There was a "gem shop" tour. For this above-average priced tour, there shouldn't be such a thing. The tour started later than stated time, and ended earlier than stated time. Speedboat seat was quite tight, and you can't see any fish during snorkeling. But sea trekking was quite cool, you get to see a lot of fish throughout. I liked sea trekking very much.
