A symbolic landmark of Hanoi, view the monumental The Flag Tower as it sits in the center of the city. Built nearly 200 years ago, amble around the towers structures containing its original features. The highlight is being able to climb the towers stairs 33m and bask in the panoramic views of Hanoi. The tower is situated near the Citadel, which makes the area perfect to view more ancient architecture. • Fortress with Vietnamese national flag recognizable from long distance. Object is unfortunately inaccessible for visit. There are several big cannons outside.

  • This flag tower has been renovated several times since it was first constructed and can be seen from a distance. The tower and flagpole is about 55 m high where the Vietnamese flag proudly flutters...

  • We saw it the first on a perfume River cruise to the Thien Mu Pogoda. Then again when we visited the Citadel. It is the largest flagpole in Viet Nam, 120 feet. Originally erected in 1807, destroyed by a typhoon in 1904 , rebuilt to be destroyed again in 1947 and finally rebuilt in 1948.
  • A must take photo! Sunny afternoon is the best time for the photo. Many people exercising/running/kids playing in the evening
