Create an itinerary including Thien Mu Pagoda
Originally established in the 17th century, Thien Mu Pagoda remains one of nation's oldest and best-preserved religious buildings. Situated on the Perfume River, the temple rises in seven tiers, each dedicated to human forms taken by Buddha during his road to Enlightenment. Upon your arrival, notice the wooden temple guardians with real human hair as beards near the entrance. Inside the compound, you can visit the monastic buildings, a large cemetery, and a beautifully maintained garden of pine trees. • A nice and famous pagoda in the region of Hue. Go behind the pagoda to learn more about the history of the place, namely the event of the 11th of June 1963. Thus place os with a visit when in Hue...

  • Place is nice. The tower is short though. I was expecting something more. Very chill environment. 5 stars because i was able to watch by chance a Buddhist prayer happening at the temple (i think it was 4pm). I went by Grab bike but to return only Grab cars were available, and not bikes.
  • A little bit out of Hue but it is a great site of the pagoda once you climb the stairs at the entrance. The site also includes a temple and a garage including the car owned by a monk who set himself alight in protest to protect the values of his religion. The grounds are serene and when we visited the monks on site were performing a ritual so the music and prayer set the scene.
  • Lovely temple right outside the center of Hue. There was a group of local Buddhist monks chanting in the main hall. The grounds are well kept and it was great walking around. The pagoda is the main attraction and it overlooks the Perfume River. It’s a must visit when you are in Hue.
  • I really liked the place a lot. It was so calm and peaceful. I wanted to say for so more time but we had to move. The place around is also very scenic. You can also take a boat ride from here for half hour or one hour, if you wish to.
  • We took a dragon boat (100K per pax for 30 mins ride, almost certain we got ripped off) to the Pagoda. Great views, and tranquil and peaceful garden at the back. Wish we could spend more time to enjoy the ambience and idyllic setting.
