Ma Tien cave is located halfway up Ma Tien mountain (Roi Ngua mountain), located in Ma Tien village, Yen Dong commune, Yen Mo district, about 25 km from Ninh Binh city center. To get here, visitors will have to rent a boat to go through Dong Thai Lake with an area of ​​​​about 380 hectares and is also the largest freshwater lake in Ninh Binh province. At the foot of Ma Tien mountain, there is a small Mausoleum. Behind the am is the way to the cave entrance with about 100 stone steps along the mountainside. The cave door is about 15 m high and 10 m wide. The cave floor is slightly sunken, not flat and has many large and small rocks undulating. From the cave floor, going through a narrow cave entrance, you will step up to the 2nd floor of Ma Tien cave, where there are 5 small cave chambers with different sizes, heights and scenery. The western cave room of the 2nd floor is called the fairy place. This cave chamber is the tallest and the coolest. In the cave there is a "jewel well" that always has water. The whole Ma Tien cave has not only one cave door, but also 3 open doors on the top of the mountain, so it is always bright, cool and airy. In Ma Tien cave, many bats live.
