Visit Old Beechworth Gaol to see the prison that once housed the infamous Ned Kelly and his gang. This former prison, which was the site of eight convict executions, now runs daily tours and hosts special events. You can choose from four different walking tours, accompanied by costumed prison guards/guides who will take you deep into the site's hidden areas, like the autopsy tent, the gallows, and solitary confinement cells. The site’s colorful past will be revealed to you as you visit Ned Kelly’s cell, walk the condemned man’s walk, and climb one of the four guard towers for a view over the prison.

Learn about the process of beekeeping, honey production, and the history of Beechworth Honey at The Beechworth Honey Shop, all while enjoying the opportunity to taste delicious varieties of honey. The skin-care products, kitchen accessories, and recipe ideas contribute to making this a honey paradise. The store is drizzled in everything honey, from honey hand creams, to honey toys, honey treats, and even honeybees (yes, there are actually bees in the store).

Situated in a broad, flat flood plain--King Valley--the complex of Brown Brothers Winery encompasses a series of low-rise, yellow buildings surrounded by lush pastoral land. Established in 1885, the vineyard produces a wide variety of wines, most of which can be sampled at the facility’s cellar door. If you want to explore the immediate surrounds, you can even borrow a bike for free at the vineyard.

Perhaps best known for being the location where infamous outlaw Ned Kelly was put on trial and subsequently sentenced, Beechworth Historic Courthouse has an attractive aesthetic that reflects its importance in relation to Australian cultural history. This old, well-preserved building offers insights into the region’s past, particularly with regard to justice and lawmaking.

We constantly tweak our beers and develop new recipes to satisfy the curiosity of ourselves and our customers alike. We are not prepared to just pump out a couple of run of the mill ales or have our beer brewed under license by someone else. We prefer to create beer from scratch, using our own production equipment on our own site in our home town of Beechworth, its our passion, not a hobby or a chance to make a quick buck.

Our brewery cellar door is open for lunch 7 days, with lunch being served from 12-3pm and dinner Fri-Sun with dinner from 6pm.

We also stock a range of local wines and cider.
