A small city, Larnaka's activity and accommodations center around its palm tree-lined seafront. Hotels and apartments on or near the busy main promenade provide easy access to the beach and the area's most popular restaurants; however, this convenience often comes with an increased price tag. Budget-conscious visitors should look for a room on the outskirts, where most of the city's main attractions will still be within walking distance (generally involving a pleasant stroll along the beach), although popping back to your room for forgotten beach supplies will not be as easy.
