Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes
Not only will you discover how the average Czech lived, worked and played under communism, but you will also hear stories and anecdotes from your local guide, who will bring the old days back to life! You will also see historical photos of the events, people, buildings and statues, many of them now destroyed. We spend 2 hours walking around Prague, seeing iconic places of recent history such as the Old Town Square, Vaclavske Square, Narodni street. Then we enjoy 30-mins break for a lunch or Kofola drink in an authentic canteen from 70s. Finally we visit a Nuclear shelter, which evoke the paranoia of the 1950's. The bunker admission fee 130 CZK (5 EUR) is included in the price. We like dialogue, so the group size is limited up to 15 people.Look for the guide holding a blue umbrella with a sign "Prague Extravaganza Free Tour".

Where to stay in Prague

As one of Europe’s main tourist destinations, Prague offers a selection of accommodations to match its popularity, from luxury hotels to very affordable hostels. For an authentic Prague experience, stay at one of the guesthouses or boutique hotels housed inside the city's historical buildings. You'll find many lodgings concentrated around the most popular sightseeing areas, such as the Old Town, the Lesser Town, and Prague Castle, but there are also a good number of them in other neighborhoods. The best way to make Prague feel like home is to rent a fully furnished apartment.

Prague
Prague lures millions of tourists each year with its World Heritage-listed medieval city center--a labyrinth of narrow lanes, bridges, cathedrals, and palaces overlooked by a thousand-year-old castle. Founded in the 9th century, the city once thrived as the seat of Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors. Infused with the old-fashioned charm of a sophisticated European city, Prague remains one of the continent's major economic and political centers. The city boasts numerous internationally significant museums, galleries, and theaters, yet the locals often claim one of their most significant contributions to the world remains Prague's many different brands of beer. Test their claim by exploring the city's pubs, which provide a place for mingling and soaking up the local color. Our Czech Republic trip itinerary maker tool combines visitor reviews with your personal interests to make an itinerary informed by experts, but tailored to suit your style.
