A landmark of post-World War II architecture, Rovaniemi Church is probably best appreciated from inside. Notice also the 45-key organ with 4,000 pipes. The present brick church with copper roof was built in 1950 in the place of the old wooden one, destroyed in 1944. Walk to the far end of the cemetery and you will find a memorial to Rovaniemi citizens who died in exile during the war.
