5. Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino, Signagi

The resting place of St. Nino, Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino houses many of her relics and currently functions as a nunnery. A popular destination for pilgrims, the monastery was originally built in the 9th century and has been extensively remodeled and rebuilt several times. Climb the hill up to the monastery to visit St. Nino's tomb. Other points of interest are the well-kept gardens and the holy springs where you can bathe and experience the waters in the traditional pilgrim's fashion. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as it's quite a hike up the hill. For cultural reasons, wear clothing that covers well.
