A Hindu shrine dedicated to Krishna, Dwarkadhish Temple consists of a large, 5-storey building supported by over 70 pillars. Possibly over 2,000 years old, the temple was enlarged in the 16th century--it allegedly sits on the site of Lord Krishna's residential palace, erected by the god's grandson Vajranabha.

This small palace, on an island in the middle of the Lakhota lake, once belonged to the Maharaja of Nawanagar. This fort-like palace has semi-circular bastions, turrets, a pavilion with guard-rooms housing swords, powder flasks and musket loops. An arched stone bridge with balustrade connects the Lakhota Palace with the town. Today it houses a small museum. The fort museum has a good collection of sculptures that spans a period from the 9th to the 18th century and pottery found in ruined medieval villages from the surrounding area. The museum is reached by a short causeway from the northern side of Ranmal Lake and is open daily except on Wednesdays.

Take a walk along the wide beach and observe up to 70 species of sponges at Narara Marine National Park, a large conservation area in the Gulf of Kutch. Spanning 163 sq km (63 sq mi), the park protects abundant marine and coastal wildlife featuring 52 coral species, jellyfish, Portuguese man o’war, shrimps, crabs, lobsters and octopuses. Observe at corals without having to dive, just follow the ebbs and you will find puffer fish in pools. Take a boat trip to Pirotan Islands to watch rare birds and flamingos, while spotting humpback dolphins and turtles on the way. Larger whales such as blue whales can also be seen.
