SNM - Bojnice Castle Museum belongs among the most significant monuments and most visited museums in the country. The museum traces the history and construction of the castle and the lives of the aristocrats who lived there, and it presents an impressive collection of classical art, artistic crafts, and artifacts from various epochs of Slovakian history. Browse paintings and sculptures from the Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Classicism periods, produced by Slovakian and foreign artists. Among the textiles, look for the large 17th-century Joseph and His Brothers tapestry, woven in Brussels. The weapons collection includes guns and cold weapons from the 17th and 18th centuries, Renaissance trunks, Baroque chests, and Viennese and Parisian clocks make up a large part of the furnishings. A travertine cave beneath the castle, the Palffy family tomb, and a park with numerous rare foreign trees complete the castle complex.
