Where to stay in Miami

Miami's South Beach boasts one of the largest collections of boutique hotels in the country. Though it can be quite expensive, staying in this area ensures proximity to the city's best shoreline, clubs, shopping, and restaurants, not to mention Art Deco buildings. Mid-Beach and downtown also make great places to stay, offering some superb apartment rentals and small hotels, though the neighborhoods are not as glamorous as South Beach. If you're traveling on a budget, avoid the high season during winter months. If money is no object, get a room with a view before it gets too hot along the famous stretch of Collins Avenue between 15th and 23rd Street.
