Naples
Travelers wishing to visit a sophisticated city on the Gulf of Mexico coastline find plenty of things to do in Naples. Strolling down Fifth Avenue South leads past scores of high-end shops, cafes, ice cream parlors, and antique stores. The city's top vantage point is a 120-year-old pier that juts into the gulf--concession stands line the wooden walkway, catering to the hungry and the thirsty. Don't forget to take advantage of the coast by going waterskiing or jet skiing on nearby Marco Island.
Naples is best known for its Piers & Boardwalks, Wildlife Areas, and Gardens.

7. Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens

Once a private garden for botanist Dr. Henry Nehrling, Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens opened as a zoo in 1969. Most of the original garden plan remains, and the zoo's pathways meander through thick Caribbean foliage. The main pathway is about 1.6 km (1 mi) with exhibits lining either side. Consider purchasing a ticket for the primate cruise on the man-made lake in the center of the park. The zoo's primate inhabitants populate the islands in the middle of the lake, and a ride on the catamaran is the only way to view them. Alligator Bay is home to the American alligator species. Check presentation times at the reception area to see the beasts during their feeding time.
