At Parrot Mountain & Gardens you can interact with the colorful birds that fill this sanctuary, including toucans, magpies and, yes, parrots. Step back in time with a visit to Titanic Museum Attraction, a two-story structure designed to look like the famous ocean liner. Built in half-scale to the original ship, this is the largest permanent venue of its kind in the world. Designers built this structure in a pool, which gives visitors the illusion of being on the ship, adrift at sea. To discover what it must have been like to travel as one of the original passengers of the ill-fated ship in 1912, take a self-guided tour of the venue. As you explore the replica, you can see over 400 artifacts spread over 20 galleries, chronicling the stories of several passengers and crew members.

Take a tour of Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine for a true Appalachian experience. Located in downtown Gatlinburg, the distillery is one of the most visited tourist spots in the Smoky Mountains. Just follow the smell of fermenting grains as you pass an outdoor stage with live bluegrass music, and you'll soon find yourself in an authentic working still where you'll experience the distilling process and learn about the history of the mountain-made moonshine. At the end of your tour, stop at the store for a shot of this much-loved adult beverage.

Battle your way through a treetop canopy course, zipping and sliding back and forth through the splendid vegetation of Great Smoky Mountains. You'll feel safe with a pro guide by your side, allowing you to test your skills without getting hurt--you'll face a variety of obstacles, such as swinging vines, hanging nets, and dangling bridges. Choose your own set of challenges, appropriate for beginners and advanced thrill seekers alike. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours navigating a zipline adventure course.

With almost 2 km (more than 1 mi) of track, Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is the longest downhill ride in the United States. The gravity-driven rollercoaster features bobsled-style cars that you can control. Lay off the brakes if you want to reach speeds of up to 43 km/h (27 mph). If you're not going too fast, you'll see great views of Smoky Mountains as you speed along the track. Ride alone, or share the thrill with a partner. Ask about group rates.

Savor the fine quality moonshine and whiskey, and learn about the history of moonshine distilling at Sugarlands Distilling Company. Taste free samples of authentic brews, learn about the behind-the-scenes processes, and shop for a wide range of moonshine flavors, including apple pie, butterscotch, and cinnamon. Enjoy live music, listen to Appalachian storytelling, and take an outdoor adventure tour of the area historically known as “Moonshiners’ Paradise.” People under the age of 21 can enter the distillery, but they can't drink the alcohol on site.

Explore the wonders of the underwater world at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies. The world-class aquarium offers an array of interactive exhibits, with over 10,000 sea creatures of over 350 diverse species. Stand on the moving pathway as it takes you through the aquarium's underwater tunnel to admire giant sea turtles and 3.7 m (12 ft) sharks.
