Founded by glassmaker Edward Drummond Libbey in 1901, the museum features an extensive collection of glass art from the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum is also known for a large collection of European and American art, plus smaller exhibits featuring Renaissance, Greek, Roman, and Japanese art.
