    While the city of Brest is still sizeable, it does'nt boast the abundance of accommodations that its big brother, Minsk, does. While lodging type is more or less limited to hotels, they vary in price and offerings. Hostels and a guesthouse or two provide some budget accommodation in and near the center. Most hotels and hostels will arrange to register you as a foreigner with the police. If you rent an apartment-style accommodation, make sure to check in advance whether or not your host will do so. Without registration, you can stay in Belarus for only five business days.
