    Where to stay in Wadi Rum

    Oriented towards sightseeing in the desert, Wadi Rum has no hotels, instead offering a range of campsites with Bedouin-style tents. These options range from sleeping under a thin blanket by a cave, to spending the night in a comfortable cabin. You can also put up your own tent in designated areas, although you'll miss out on the traditional meals and tea provided by many campsites. These accommodations follow a line from northeast to southwest along the dry river bed, while a number of agents organize wilder trips where you can go bivouac camping or sleep under the stars. Visitors who prefer more luxurious conditions can always opt to stay in the more touristy Aqaba area.
