    Surrounding the fishing port of Çanakkale, guesthouses and hostels hug the waterfront. You'll find most of the budget hotels, restaurants, and bars lining the main street just behind the seafront, while the area a little bit north offers more expensive hotels secluded from the noise of the core. The closer you are to the main street, the closer you'll be to the transport and tour guide companies that many tourists use to see the nearby attractions. There are also a number of inexpensive hotels on the island across in the town of Eceabat, a direct ferry ride from Çanakkale, and also where you'll find the historic Gallipoli site.
