Cave City

Zipline · Specialty Museums · Theme Parks
Originally intended as a resort city to serve the Mammoth Cave attraction, Cave City has taken on a life of its own. Visitors seek out the city looking for adventure in the region’s caves or above ground with rock climbing or canoeing. The agricultural town is known for its throwback accommodations--at one site, guests sleep in reconstructed wigwams with all the modern amenities. The town was once in a dry county, until 2005 when alcohol licenses became legal for establishments that serve food.
