Timberline Lodge
Perched high on the south face of one of the most iconic peaks in the Pacific Northwest, Timberline Lodge is the ski and snowboarding area known for the eponymous historic lodge, the design of which emphasizes the area's natural beauty. Built during the Great Depression as a WPA project, the lodge imitates faceted peaks, slopes, and mountain ridges with a six-sided central tower and steeply slanted wings. Offering year round skiing, a Timberline Lodge vacation draws thousands of people to summer camps. In addition to snow sports, river rafting, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, and wind surfing are among the most popular things to do in Timberline Lodge. Our United States road trip planning website combines visitor reviews with your personal interests to make an itinerary informed by experts, but tailored to suit your style.
