Mazar-i-Sharif offers a small but diverse set of accommodations for its guests. All located close to the main attractions in the center of town, the lodgings available include dormitory-style hostels, with shared rooms, bathrooms, and toilets; and mid-range hotels with private bedrooms, and either shared or private bathrooms. The odd luxury hotel, aimed almost exclusively at upmarket international guests, provides additional facilities, higher-standard rooms, and often thematic decoration.
