Where to stay in Gaziantep for first-time tourists

In Gaziantep you can wander the narrow-laned old town, with its old stone houses, just steps from your hotel. Because many of the old houses and their large interior courtyards have survived for decades, they now house museums, cafes, hotels, and inns. Surrounding the Old Town is a collection of moderately priced three- and four-star hotels. The city is well known for its food culture, restaurants, baklava bakeries, and bustling bazaars, so you'll want to stay close to the downtown core to experience that atmosphere. If budget is concern, look to the few guesthouses and hostels in the city, although they are a little removed from the central area.
