Singapore, Singapore to Taipei is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. Expect colder temperatures when traveling from Singapore in February; daily highs in Taipei reach 23°C and lows reach 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Sun) early enough to catch the train to Xiulin.

On the 13th (Mon), head outdoors with Baiyang Trail and then get outside with Taroko Gorge.

Getting from Taipei to Xiulin by train takes about 3 hours. Other options: take a bus; or drive. Traveling from Taipei in February, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Xiulin, with lows around 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Mon) to allow time to take a bus to Yuchi.

Start off your visit on the 14th (Tue): admire the landmark architecture of Paper Dome, head outdoors with Siang Shan Bikeway, and then explore the activities along Sun Moon Lake.

You can take a bus from Xiulin to Yuchi in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Plan for slightly colder nights when traveling from Xiulin in February since evenings lows in Yuchi dip to 13°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Alishan.

Start off your visit on the 15th (Wed): take a peaceful walk through Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. Keep things going the next day: get engrossed in the history at Alishan Museum, then take a peaceful walk through Sun-Link-Sea Forest and Nature Resort, and then stop by Fenchihu Old Town.

Getting from Yuchi to Alishan by car takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Traveling from Yuchi in February, Alishan is a bit warmer at night with lows of 19°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
