Norway's capital city, Oslo boasts a thousand years of history and a diverse mix of architecture that blends old, new, and ultra-modern.
Step out of the city life by going to Oslomarka and Damstredet & Telthusbakken. We've included these beaches for you: Huk and Soerenga Public Pool. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Oslo: Semsvannet (in Asker) and Eidsvoll 1814 Norwegian Center for Constitution (in Eidsvoll Verk). There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Nordmarka, get engrossed in the history at Fram Museum, contemplate the long history of Akershus Castle and Fortress (Akershus Slott og Festning), and see the interesting displays at Botanical Gardens (Botanisk Hage og Museum).

A city famed for its underground music scene, Bergen also serves as the gateway to the fjords of Norway's western coastline.
Kick off your visit on the 10th (Wed): take a leisurely stroll along Bryggen, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Floyen and the Funicular, then get engrossed in the history at Hanseatic Museum and Schøtstuene, then steep yourself in history at Troldhaugen Edvard Grieg Museum, and finally identify plant and animal life at Gronevika.
