New York City to Tucson is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. You'll gain 2 hours traveling from New York City to Tucson due to the time zone difference. When traveling from New York City in March, plan for much hotter days in Tucson, with highs around 77°F, while nights are a bit warmer with lows around 49°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Willcox.

Drive from Tucson to Willcox in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Traveling from Tucson in March, Willcox is little chillier at night with lows of 44°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Tue) so you can go by car to Sierra Vista.

Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Wed): identify plant and animal life at Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve, identify plant and animal life at Tucson Audubon's Paton Center for Hummingbirds, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Empire-Cienega Resource Conservation Area.
