10 days in Zurich, Zermatt & Geneva Itinerary

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.

Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Seebad Eich and Seebad Mit Strand Am Vierwaldstattersee. Step out of the city life by going to Rigi and Lake Zurich. Step out of Zurich to go to Lucerne and see Lucerne Station, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. There's much more to do: admire the masterpieces at Museum of Art (Kunsthaus Zurich), wander the streets of Bahnhofstrasse, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Old Town.

New Delhi, India to Zurich is an approximately 11-hour flight. The time zone changes from India Standard Time to Central European Standard Time, which is usually a -4.5 hour difference. Traveling from New Delhi in February, expect Zurich to be much colder, temps between 7°C and -1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Zermatt.

You can drive from Zurich to Zermatt in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Wed) so you can drive to Geneva.

Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.

Museum-lovers will get to explore International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum and Patek Philippe Museum. Visit Chateau de Chillon and Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre for their historical value. Drive from Zermatt to Geneva in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. February in Geneva sees daily highs of 7°C and lows of 0°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) so you can catch the flight back home.
