A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Bring the kids along to Nizami Street/Torgovaya and Park Bulvar Baku. Step out of the city life by going to Dreamland Golf Club and Yanardag. The adventure continues: shop like a local with Ali Shamsi Studio, make a trip to Baku Boulevard, relax and rejuvenate at Knockout Boxing Club, and contemplate the long history of Baku Old City.

Azerbaijan's "northern gates" promise breathtaking Caucasus Mountain scenery, home to some of the country’s highest peaks, a classy ski resort, traditional rustic villages, and tasty Lezgi cuisine.
On the 2nd (Mon), walk around Nariman Narimanov Park, fly down the slopes at Shahdag Mountain Resort, and then admire the striking features of Six-Domed Synagogue.

You can drive from Baku to Gusar in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Traveling from Baku in January, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be little chillier in Gusar, with lows of -3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Mon) so you can go by car to Ganja.

A Young Spirit Located in an Ancient Land

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
On the 3rd (Tue), contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Goygol. Here are some ideas for day two: browse the different shops at Ganja Mall, then pause for some serene contemplation at The Alexander Nevsky Church, then contemplate the waterfront views at Maralgol lake, and finally admire the striking features of Bottle House.

You can drive from Gusar to Ganja in 7 hours. Other options are to do a combination of bus and train; or do a combination of taxi and train. January in Ganja sees daily highs of 9°C and lows of 0°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Gabala.
