Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.

Traveling by car from Geneva to Bern takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. April in Bern sees daily highs of 17°C and lows of 3°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Sat) to allow enough time to take a train to Zurich.

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.

Do some cultural sightseeing at Old Town and Verkehrshaus der Schweiz. Museum-lovers will appreciate Landesmuseum and Museum Rosengart Collection. Traveling by train from Bern to Zurich takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive; or take a bus. In April, daily temperatures in Zurich can reach 17°C, while at night they dip to 5°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Tue) so you can go by car to Appenzell.

Appenzell District is a district of the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden in Switzerland. Getting from Zurich to Appenzell by car takes about 1.5 hours. In May in Appenzell, expect temperatures between 21°C during the day and 10°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Wed) so you can drive to Zermatt.

Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.

On the 4th (Thu), get outside with Trockener Steg, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at The Matterhorn, take in the awesome beauty at Castor, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Mountaineers' Cemetery, and finally explore the galleries of Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis. You can drive from Appenzell to Zermatt in 5 hours. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Montreux.

Mostly known for its world-renowned jazz festival, Montreux serves as a picturesque lakeside resort town on the Swiss Riviera.

On the 6th (Sat), step into the grandiose world of Chateau de Chillon, explore the engaging exhibits at Chaplin's World, and then see the interesting displays at The Olympic Museum Lausanne (Musee Olympique). On the next day, enjoy the sand and surf at Lac Alpin De Champex.
