Whereas most national parks are primarily devoted to showcasing unique and special landscapes, Mesa Verde National Park focuses on ancient human habitation.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Wed): hike along Petroglyph Point Hike, make a trip to Park Point, and then delve into the distant past at Long House. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: hike along Nordenskiold #16 Trail, contemplate the long history of Cliff Palace, then explore the ancient world of Balcony House, and finally delve into the distant past at Spruce Tree House.

Capitol Reef National Park is known for nature, trails, and historic sites. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: take in breathtaking views at Little Wild Horse Canyon, contemplate the long history of Gifford Homestead, make a trip to Fremont Petroglyphs, and trek along The Hickman Bridge Trail.
