Getting from Las Vegas to Overton by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and car. In May in Overton, expect temperatures between 86°F during the day and 64°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Sat) so you can go by car to Zion National Park.

On the 29th (Mon), take some stellar pictures from Inspiration Point and then take some stellar pictures from Fairyland Point. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: trek along Rim Trail, stroll through Queen's Garden Trail, and then trek along Navajo Loop Trail.

Expect a bit cooler temperatures when traveling from Zion National Park in May; daily highs in Bryce Canyon National Park reach 63°F and lows reach 31°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Capitol Reef National Park.

Capitol Reef National Park takes its name from a particularly rugged and scenic section of the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic "wrinkle" stretching for 160 km (100 mi) along a dry plateau surrounded by white Navajo sandstone cliffs and domes, and red canyons, buttes, and rock bridges.

Start off your visit on the 1st (Thu): stroll through The Hickman Bridge Trail and then explore the stunning scenery at Little Wild Horse Canyon.

Getting from Capitol Reef National Park to Arches National Park by car takes about 3.5 hours. When traveling from Capitol Reef National Park in June, plan for a bit warmer days and much hotter nights in Arches National Park: temperatures range from 95°F by day to 61°F at night. You will leave for Monument Valley on the 2nd (Fri).

Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, the largest reaching 1000ft above the valley floor. Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Fri): admire all the interesting features of Monument Valley – Highway 163 Scenic Drive.

You can drive from Arches National Park to Monument Valley in 3.5 hours. In June, Monument Valley is slightly colder than Arches National Park - with highs of 87°F and lows of 54°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Sat) so you can drive to Sedona.

Despite its relatively small size, Sedona overflows with tourist appeal.

Getting from Monument Valley to Sedona by car takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of car, flight, and shuttle. Traveling from Monument Valley in June, expect Sedona to be a bit warmer, temps between 94°F and 68°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Las Vegas.

Traveling from Sedona in June, expect Las Vegas to be somewhat warmer, temps between 103°F and 77°F. You'll set off for home on the 6th (Tue).
