Settled by colonists and convicts in 1829, Fremantle has transformed its infamous historical buildings into cultural centers.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Dolphin & Whale Watching and WA Maritime Museum. Get out of town with these interesting Fremantle side-trips: Scarborough Beach (in Scarborough), Mettam's Pool (in Trigg) and Penguin Island (in Rockingham). Dunsborough is a coastal town in the South West of Western Australia, 254km south of Perth on the shores of Geographe Bay.Dunsborough is a popular tourist destination for Western Australians; in 1999 it was voted the state's best tourist destination and in 2013 awarded the Top Tourism Award for Population Under 5,000. On the 10th (Tue), view the masterpieces at Christian Fletcher Gallery, then enjoy the sea views from Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Meelup Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Dunsborough Beach. Here are some ideas for day two: Head underground at Ngilgi Cave, enjoy some diversion at Simmo's Icecreamery, then take a leisurely stroll along Busselton Jetty, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Geographe Bay.
