San Juan, Puerto Rico to Reykjavik is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Atlantic Standard Time to Greenwich Mean Time, which is usually a 4 hour difference. Traveling from San Juan in July, expect Reykjavik to be colder, temps between 17°C and 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Vik.

Vik — 3 nights

Iceland's southernmost village, Vik, sports some of the country's wildest and most dramatic coastline.
Popular historic sites such as Dwarf Crags Dverghamrar and Reyniskirkja Church are in your itinerary. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Skogar Museum and Sólheimajökulll. Venture out of the city with trips to Kirkjubaejarklaustur (Fjadrargljufur Canyon & Stjornarfoss) and Diamond Beach Jokulsarlon (in Jokulsarlon). You can drive from Reykjavik to Vik in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In July, daytime highs in Vik are 14°C, while nighttime lows are 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Grundarfjorour.

Kick off your visit on the 28th (Fri): kick back and relax at Djúpalónssandur beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Dritvik and Djupalonssandur, and then take in the dramatic natural features at Londrangar Basalt Cliffs.
