You can do a combination of bus and ferry from Hanoi to Halong Bay in 5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train, car, and ferry; or do a combination of bus, flight, and ferry. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel to Ninh Binh.

In February, daily temperatures in Ninh Binh can reach 24°C, while at night they dip to 18°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sat) so you can catch the flight to Da Nang.

Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Ninh Binh in February, with highs in Da Nang at 30°C and lows at 23°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Mon) so you can go by car to Hue.
