Singapore, Singapore to Taichung is an approximately 9-hour combination of flight and train. Prepare for cooler weather when traveling from Singapore in February: high temperatures in Taichung hover around 22°C and lows are around 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sun) so you can take a train to Hualien City.

Take a train from Taichung to Hualien City in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Taichung in February, plan for a bit warmer nights in Hualien City, with lows around 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Tue) early enough to take a train to Taipei.
