12 days in Taipei & Kaohsiung Itinerary

Kick off your visit on the 1st (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Lungshan Temple, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Taipei Zoo, and then get a taste of the local shopping with Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street). Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take an in-depth tour of National Palace Museum, pause for some photo ops at Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, and then buy something for everyone on your list at Taipei 101.

If you are flying in from Singapore, the closest major aiports are Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Taipei Songshan Airport and Taichung International Airport / Ching Chuang Kang Air Base. In May, daily temperatures in Taipei can reach 34°C, while at night they dip to 26°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Wed) to allow time to take a train to Kaohsiung.
