12 days in Toronto, Vancouver & North Vancouver Itinerary

Possibly the world's most diverse city, Toronto houses over 80 ethnic communities speaking nearly 150 different languages or dialects.

Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at L'Artisan Gallery and Boutique and Bau-Xi Gallery. Museum-lovers will appreciate Royal Ontario Museum and Hockey Hall of Fame. There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Distillery Historic District, explore the world behind art at Art Gallery of Ontario, take in panoramic vistas at CN Tower, and contemplate the long history of Casa Loma.

You can fly from Toronto to Vancouver in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and car. You'll gain 3 hours traveling from Toronto to Vancouver due to the time zone difference. Prepare for a bit warmer weather when traveling from Toronto in February: high temperatures in Vancouver hover around 9°C and lows are around 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Tue) early enough to drive to North Vancouver.

Although officially a separate city, North Vancouver is actually a suburban area of Vancouver on the north shore of Burrard Inlet, a shallow-sided fjord.

Kick off your visit on the 1st (Wed): enjoy the sand and surf at White Pine Beach, examine the collection at Irving House, and then snap pictures at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
