Lucerne, Switzerland — 1 night

Kick off your visit on the 30th (Fri): contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Lucerne, then pause for some photo ops at Lion Monument, then wander the streets of Altstadt Luzern, and finally take in the views from Chapel Bridge. Keep things going the next day: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Titlis and then hit the slopes at Mt Pilatus.
