Traveling from Wellington in May, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be slightly colder in Christchurch, with lows of 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Wed) to allow time to fly to Dunedin.

You can fly from Christchurch to Dunedin in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Fri) so you can go by car to Queenstown.

You can drive from Dunedin to Queenstown in 3.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Tue) to allow time to fly to Christchurch.

Start off your visit on the 24th (Wed): take an in-depth tour of Canterbury Museum, then appreciate the history behind Diminish and Ascend, then get to know the resident critters at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from Christchurch Gondola.
