14 days in Sokcho, Gangneung & Seoul Itinerary

Spend the 5th (Wed) exploring nature at Seoraksan National Park. Next up on the itinerary: trek along Ulsanbawi Rock, head outdoors with Biryong Falls, see the interesting displays at National Mountain Museum, and enjoy the sand and surf at Cheonjin Beach.

Singapore, Singapore to Sokcho is an approximately 18.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Singapore to Sokcho due to the time zone difference. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sat) so you can drive to Gangneung.

Change things up with these side-trips from Gangneung: Samcheok (Hwanseongul Cave & Daegeumgul), Jeongseon Rail Bike (in Jeongseon-gun) and Woljeongsa Temple (in Pyeongchang-gun). There's still lots to do: engage your brain at Charmsori Gramophone & Edison Science Museum, head outdoors with Mangsang Beach, kick back and relax at Anmok Beach, and trek along Jeongdong-Simgok Badabuchae-gil Trail.

Traveling by car from Sokcho to Gangneung takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Seoul.

Take a break from Seoul with a short trip to DMZ Haemaru Village in Paju, about 1h 25 min away. There's much more to do: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, stop by Myeongdong Shopping Street, wander the streets of Insadong, and admire the landmark architecture of Changdeokgung Palace.

You can drive from Gangneung to Seoul in 2.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. In July, daytime highs in Seoul are 85°F, while nighttime lows are 74°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Mon) so you can fly back home.
