Colombo, Sri Lanka to Adelaide is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 4 hours traveling from Colombo to Adelaide. Prepare for much colder weather when traveling from Colombo in April: high temperatures in Adelaide hover around 26°C and lows are around 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Thu) early enough to fly to Mount Gambier.

On the 5th (Fri), explore the activities along The Valley Lake, then contemplate the waterfront views at The Blue Lake, and then explore the striking landscape at Umpherston Sinkhole.

Traveling by flight from Adelaide to Mount Gambier takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In May, Mount Gambier is a bit cooler than Adelaide - with highs of 19°C and lows of 9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Fri) early enough to catch the flight to Port Lincoln.

Start off your visit on the 6th (Sat): take a memorable drive along Winter Hill Lookout, have unforgettable encounters with a shark diving experience, and then go for a walk through Parnkalla Walking Trail.

Fly from Mount Gambier to Port Lincoln in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sat) so you can catch the flight to Kangaroo Island.

Spend the 9th (Tue) exploring nature at Flinders Chase National Park. The adventure continues: see Off-Road Tours, sample the fine beverages at Kangaroo Island Spirits, explore the striking landscape at Remarkable Rocks, and get to know the resident critters at Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park.

Getting from Port Lincoln to Kangaroo Island by flight takes about 5 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of bus, ferry, and taxi. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Wed) so you can catch the flight to Tanunda.

On the 11th (Thu), learn about winemaking at Cimicky Wines, learn about winemaking at Kalleske Wines, then do a tasting at Murray Street Vineyards, and finally indulge your senses at some of the top wineries in the area. On the 12th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: steep yourself in history at Gardner Knives, do a tasting at Seppeltsfield, then do a tasting at Kies Family Wines, and finally do a tasting at Tscharke Wines.

Expect a daytime high around 22°C in May, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
