Getting from Reykjavik to Vik by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 4°C in March, and nighttime lows around 1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Wed) so you can drive to Svinafell.

Kick off your visit on the 16th (Thu): contemplate the waterfront views at Fjallsarlon Iceberg Lagoon, then kick back and relax at Fellsfjara, and then take in the dramatic natural features at Svinafell Glacier. Drive from Vik to Svinafell in 2 hours. In March in Svinafell, expect temperatures between 5°C during the day and 0°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Grundarfjorour.

Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sat): take in the dramatic scenery at Kirkjufellsfoss and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Kirkjufell Mountain.
