15 days in Ljubljana, Bled & Portorož Itinerary

Explore Ljubljana's surroundings by going to Postojna (Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, &more). Canberra, Australia to Ljubljana is an approximately 31.5-hour combination of flight and shuttle. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 9 hours traveling from Canberra to Ljubljana. In July, Ljubljana is much warmer than Canberra - with highs of 32°C and lows of 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Bled.

Traveling by car from Ljubljana to Bled takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in July, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Portorož.

Getting from Bled to Portorož by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Expect a bit warmer evenings in Portorož when traveling from Bled in July, with lows around 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
